Welcome! I'm really glad you are here.
My name is Heather. I’m a wife, a homeschooling mom to three teenage boys, a stepmom, and a step-grandma. Family and faith are at the center of my life. Much of what I share here has been shaped by the many seasons I’ve walked through as a woman, a mother, and a caregiver of both hearts and homes.
My wellness journey has not been a straight or easy path. Over the years; I’ve experienced dieting extremes, disordered eating, body image struggles, pregnancies, one instance of gestational diabetes, seasons of exhaustion, weight fluctuations, hormonal challenges, and the quiet emotional weight that often comes with perfectionism, boundary challenges, and self-doubt. Those experiences didn’t disqualify me-they refined me. They taught me compassion, patience, and the importance of approaching health with grace rather than punishment.
Through those years; God slowly cultivated a deep passion in my heart for wellness, nourishment, and helping women feel steady in both body and mind. I fell in love with creating colorful, intentional, well-planned plates that truly nourish the body and support long-term health. I’ve spent years developing recipes; learning how food impacts our bodies, hormones, and energy; and walking alongside women who simply want a healthier, more sustainable way of caring for themselves.
Although I experimented with healthier eating approaches for many years; I fully committed to the Trim Healthy lifestyle in April of 2021. Through these almost 5 years; I’ve experienced weight loss, improved energy, a healthy relationship with food, healing, and greater balance while navigating hormone challenges. Daily walks have become a grounding rhythm in my life- a place where my body moves, my mind settles, and my heart reconnects with truth. My husband has also experienced significant health improvements through eating this way; which has further strengthened my belief in steady, sustainable change.
Walking through this challenging perimenopause season over the years, has deepened my heart for women in midlife. I understand firsthand how hormonal shifts can affect weight, body image, energy, emotions, confidence, and daily life. Alongside my personal journey; I’ve pursued education so I can better serve women with both understanding and integrity. I am a Certified Trim Healthy Mama Lifestyle Coach, and I recently obtained my Hormone Optimization Certification. These layers of education allow me to support women with practical, food-centered guidance while providing a deeper understanding of how hormones impact midlife health-always through a gentle, sustainable approach.
This blog is a place where faith, food, mindset, and real life come together. You’ll find encouragement for midlife wellness, hormone-supportive nourishment, honest reflections, and reminders that you don’t have to do this season alone or perfectly well. My heart is to walk alongside women who desire balance, peace, and steady rhythms that support both their mind, body, and spirit.
